【植物形态】
植物形态：多年生草本。茎直立，单生，连花序高50~80厘米，根茎横走地下，肉质肥厚，灰黄白色，有节，形似竹鞭。叶为掌状复叶，3~5片轮生于茎端，小叶常5片，有短柄，小叶片卵形，倒卵形或披针形，中间小叶较大，长10~30厘米，宽2~7厘米，先端长锐尖，边缘有不整齐的齿。花淡黄色，顶生伞形花序。萼5片，花瓣5片，雄蕊5枚，与花瓣等长，子房下位，2室。浆果，扁球形，熟时红色。 生态分布：产我国中部至长江中游和西南各省；多生于深山林阴下或沟谷中。 药用部分：秋季采根茎入药。 性味微苦、温，无毒。作解热，健胃和祛痰药。治慢性消化不良，习惯性便秘等。亦作强壮滋补药，并有止血疗伤作用。用量：2~3钱。
