【来源】
为木兰科植物厚朴或凹叶厚朴的果实或种子。植物形态详"厚朴"条。
【采集】
9～10月采摘果实，晒干。
【药材】
聚合果长椭圆状卵形，长约9～12厘米，直径约5～6厘米，顶端截形，基部近圆形，心皮排列紧密，木质，先端有弯尖头，内含种子1～2粒；种子三角状倒卵形，长约11毫米，直径约8毫米，外皮鲜红色，内皮黑色，腹部有浅沟。 产四川、湖北等地。
【性味】
①《纲目》:"甘，温，无毒。" ②姚可成《食物本草》:"味甘平，无毒。"
【功用主治】
理气，温中，消食。 ①《别录》:"疗鼠瘘，明目益气。" ②姚可成《食物本草》:"主消食，宽中利气。" ③《四川中药志》:"温中健胃，治胃部膨胀。"
【用法与用量】
内服:煎汤，0.5～1.5钱。
