根茎通常成结节状膨大。茎高50—100厘米。叶片长椭圆形、椭圆形至长圆状披针形，长10—18厘米，宽2—7厘米，顶端渐尖，叶下无毛。总花梗长1—4厘米，有2—7花的伞形花序腋生。花丝两侧扁或稍扁，具乳头状突起至具短棉毛，顶端稍膨大至具囊状突起，花药基部2裂，内向开裂；子房3室，花柱丝状，柱头小。浆果黑色。种子3-9。花期5—6月，果期8—10月。
