性质:又称正二十烷醇。CH3(CH2)18CH2OH  白色蜡状固形物(从乙醇溶液得到)或结晶(从三氯甲烷溶液得到)。熔点72.5~73(67)℃。沸点220℃(0.4kPa)。密度(20℃)0.8405g/cm3。不溶于水,略溶于乙醇和苯,易溶于丙酮。是松柏蜡的组成成分。由花生酸氢解法、α-烯烃羰基合成法、齐格勒合成法制备,乙烯齐聚氧化也有少量生成。用于特种表面活性剂和某些有机化学品的制备。
