萎缩性阴道涂片图像
在阴道中上段的侧壁，用匀力轻刮，取下表面细胞，涂成均匀的玻片标品，经常规巴氏染色干燥后，在显微镜下检查。绝经后萎缩性涂片背景欠鲜艳，细胞成堆，卷边，折叠，形状不整，胞浆厚，核大浅染呈空泡；成熟指数左移，以近基底层细胞为主，中间层细胞少量，几无表层细胞。有时可见多形核白细胞及细菌，详见附图。如有感染、激素或其他药物治疗、放射等处理，则阴道涂片不能正确反映所受雌激素影响水平。
