包括标准碳酸氢盐(SB）和实际碳酸氢盐(AB），是反映代谢性酸碱平衡失常的指标。SB为在标准条件(全血在37℃，完全氧合及PaCO24.9kPa的气体平衡后）下所测得血浆HCO-3的含量，不受呼吸因素的影响，正常平均值为24(22～26）mmol/L。AB为血浆中HCO-3的真实含量，可受呼吸因素的影响，正常人两者并无差异，两者的差异要反映呼吸时血浆HCO-3的影响程度。如SB＞AB，表示CO2排出增加；AB＞SB，表示CO2潴留。
