For two modes of maximal ratio transmission and equal gain transmission,the algorithms of determining both transmit antennas number and radio frequency(RF) chains number are proposed respectively according to the order statistics of wireless channel fading coefficients.

Considering the tie-lines transient stability constraints and based on leading generators and lagging generators, a method of calculating maximum transmission capability of tie-line is presented.
