一 前言
三维设计CAD软件已成为产品设计、开发的必备工具。在众多的3D设计软件中，我所通过调研软件市场所有的三维设计软件，购买了Pro/ENGINEER 软件，Pro/ENGINEER软件是PTC 公司编制3D CAD软件，该软件集零件设计、零件装配、模具开发、NC 加工、钣金设计、运动分析和流动分析等功能于一体，采用参数化设计，具有单一的数据库，给设计工作者提供了简易灵活和高效的工具。
二 应用示例
在许多产品的初期开发和设计中，我们经常会遇到的问题是：
第一、 只知道整个装置的基本结构，其结构的细节不清楚；
第二、 装置的具体尺寸不清楚，只知道整个装置的大概尺寸。
在这种情况下，已有的方法--通过技术人员的经验以及一次次的尝试来达到设计最终产品的目的无疑是事倍功半。而通过PRO/E软件将产品的三维模型展现在我们的面前，对其进行详细的研究、分析直至将产品在计算机上完成之后再进行实际的加工、装配，无疑是事半功倍。下面，对个别设计进行简单的说明。
在Z加速器的真空汇流装置设计中，我们只知道真空汇流装置包含的绝缘堆、外磁绝缘传输线、内磁绝缘传输线和靶心四部分中绝缘堆的详细结构和外围尺寸，这种情况，一般的三维设计软件是无法完成该装置的三维立体图，而使用PRO/E软件可轻松的完成该装置三维立体图的初步绘制过程。绘制过程如下：
1. 设计完成的真空汇流装置的三维90o剖面图如图1：

2. 根据绝缘堆的结构和尺寸，完成绝缘堆的三维图图2：

3. 在完成绝缘堆的三维图以后，抛开真空汇流装置的内部组件的具体细节和尺寸，根据所了解的产品结构，画出内部组件的结构骨架(图中心里的线条)如图3：
