Al_2O_3-C material possesses relatively well high temperature properties and is universal used in continuous casting for the steel making.

The Al_2O_3-C material specimen by isostatic compaction from corundum and graphite materials with the addition of Ti、Al、Si、Al+Si powders were prepared in the flowing N_2 atmosphere at 1350℃for 4 hours.
以白刚玉、鳞片石墨为主要原料,分别添加Ti粉、Al粉、Si粉、Al+Si粉,经等静压成型,在流动氮气条件下1350℃×4h烧成,制备了Al_2O_3-C材料试样,研究了Ti粉对Al_2O_3-C材料物理性能和抗氧化性能的影响,同时还对比了等量Ti粉、Al粉、Si粉、Al+Si粉分别增强Al_2O_3-C材料物理性能和抗氧化性能的效果。

ZrO_2-SiC composite has been synthesized from zirconite and carbon black by car- bothermal reduction reaction in argon atmosphere,which was added to Al_2O_3-C refractory to study the improvement of oxidation resistance of the Al_2O_3-C refractory,and the effect of heating tem- perature on the synthesis of ZrO_2-SiC composite was also investigated.
