    羧甲基纤维素钠简称CMC-Na是由棉短绒(亦可用稻草、木粉等含纤维素的物质)与氢氧化钠溶液作用生成碱纤维素,再与氯乙酸或氯乙酸钠于碱性介质中进行醚化反应而得.分子量242.16n,取代度(DS)>0.45.无毒、无臭、无味。属阴离子型线型水溶性聚合物,能溶于水(宜用冷水溶解)生成抗盐和有一定稳定性的粘性溶液,宜保持中性或弱碱性。
    CMC可用于配制水溶性胶粘剂,粘接纸张,织物等。也可用作水溶性胶粘剂的增稠剂。贮存于阴凉、干燥的库房内,防潮、防热。
