性质:又称埃罗黑T,依来铬黑T,埃络黑T(Erichrome Black T)。一种偶氮类染料。棕黑色粉末。络合滴定中常用的指示剂之一。溶于水和醇。其水溶液不稳定,易聚合,并能发生氧化反应,加入三乙醇胺可减慢其聚合;加入盐酸羟胺和抗坏血酸可抗止氧化。固体铬黑T比较稳定,故有时可与干燥氯化钠以1:100的比例混合研细,保存与使用。为二元弱酸,在不同pH值溶液中,发生不同的电离过程,产生不同的颜色。在pH值小于6.3时,溶液呈紫红色;在pH值大于11.55时,溶液呈蓝色。与大多数金属离子形成铬合物呈红色,因和指示剂本身在pH值小于6.3或pH值大于11.55时颜色极为接近,故通常适用于pH值在8~10之间。可用作乙二胺四乙酸直接滴定Mg2+,Zn2+,Cd2+,Pb2+和Hg2+等离子的指示剂。Fe3+,Co2+,Ni2+,Cu2+和Ti4+等离子对其有封闭作用。
