This paper analyzes on and probes into the factors influencing the speed of rock drivage such as the cyclical footage, drift forming, blasting efficiency, hole depth, and organizational management, etc.

At present,in the building of new shaft,rock drivage takes 40%-50% of whole project,and the construction takes 35%-50%.

The system model based on computer aided design and expert system techniques is established through analytical studying on the engineering data of rock drift tunneling.
