    中国最大的地热能发电站。位于西藏自治区当雄县境内羊八井的地热发电站。羊八井海拔4300米 ,其地热田地下深200米  ,地热蒸汽温度高达172℃。电站自1977年第一台机组投入运行  ,到1986年装机容量达1.3万千瓦。由5眼地热井供水,单井产量为75~160立方米/小时,水温为145~170℃。每年二 、三季度水量丰富时靠水力发电,一、四季度靠水热发电,能源互补。
