Halomonas meridiana, surviving in extreme environment, was a novel specie first isolated by James etc from the salt lake in Antarctic in 1990.

适应症：
本品对免疫系统有促进作用，使巨噬细胞功能增强，并产生特异性抗体；还可诱导机体产生干扰素及肿瘤坏死因数，主要用于恶性胸腔积液的治疗。
用量用法：
胸腔内注射：先抽净胸水后取本品２～４ｍｌ（１２０～２４０亿菌体），用１０～２０ｍｌ等渗盐水稀释注入胸膜腔内；然后使患者平卧，变换体位，以使药液与胸膜腔均匀接触，每周重复１次，２～３次为１疗程。
注意事项：
主要有发热、寒战，部分患者有胸痛、轻度消化道反应。可同时服用扑热息痛０．５ｇ或消炎痛２５ｍｇ，３次／日，以防止发热。对发热３８℃以上者、心血管病者、过敏体质者、肝肾功能明显异常者忌用，年老体弱者慎用。
