为兰科植物舌唇兰的带根全草。
【植物形态】
舌唇兰 多年生草本。具数条肉质块根，白色或黄白色。茎直立，相壮，高可达80厘米。叶互生，卵圆形至长椭圆形，先端尖，基部鞘状抱茎，两面光滑，叶脉平行，全缘；茎上部叶渐狭小，苞片状.顶生总状花序，花10余朵，白色；背萼片舟状，侧萼片宽卵形，偏斜；花瓣线形，稍短于背萼片，唇瓣线形，长1.5厘米，距下垂，甚长，达3～6厘米。蒴果淡绿色。花期夏季。 生于山坡草丛阴湿处。分布浙江、湖南、甘肃、陕西、四川、云南、广西等地。
【采集】
夏季采集，洗净泥土，切段，晒干。
【性味】
《陕西中药志》："味甘，性平。"
【功用主治】
①《峨嵋药植》："用作伤药，能促进血液循环。" ②《陕西中草药》："润肺，止咳，祛痰。治肺热咳嗽，痰喘气壅。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，3～5钱。
