Han Yu assigns himself to argue against Buddhism and Taoism, but there is a profound and obscure tangle with Buddhism in his blood, and that’s a wavering attitude between acceptance and violation in his “declaration”and “behavior”.
他以“攘斥佛老”自命 ,骨子里却与佛禅有着深刻、蒙昧未彰的纠结 ,在其“宣言”和“行为”中采取依违两间的姿态 ;韩愈获贬 ,尤其是南贬后亲和佛禅 ,是那个时代“贬官禅悦”的典型证例 ;韩氏以“道统”自任 ,其理论及其排定的“道统”谱系 ,也受了南宗禅“教外别传”和衣钵承祖认宗的启发 ;韩愈“独运其天才”所创“以文为诗”直接获益于佛经、佛经译过程 ;从“主情”以“韵胜”为主流风格的唐诗到“主理”以“意胜”的宋诗风格的形成 ,韩诗是两者间得体的过渡。
