Whereas An Archaeological Study of Dunhuang Poetry has attracted scholars and researchers of Tang poems, the author of the paper, however, discovers quite a few kinds of mistakes in the work due to carelessness, misunderstanding, or failure to attest.
《敦煌诗集残卷辑考》曾受到学界和唐诗研究者的广泛关注和赞誉 ,但辑考者忽略了整理敦煌诗歌最基础的文字要求 ,在录校文字时或审慎不周 ,或曲解诗意 ,抑或未加考辨 ,使某些明白易懂的诗句被录校得面目全非 ,如“李陵台”写作“高□台” ,“汗马”写成“汀马” ,“平原客”写作“平桌艹各” ,“诸佛”写为“论佛” ,“奉佛”为“来佛”等
补充资料：《敦煌变文汇录》
敦煌千佛洞所出唐、五代变文总集。周绍良编。1954年编入《中国文艺研究丛书》出版，1955年出版增订本。《敦煌变文汇录》汇辑编者蒐集、抄录的唐、五代变文36篇，并收有编者所撰写的《叙》及《敦煌所出变文现存目录》。在《叙》中对变文的起源、体制等提出了作者的见解。36篇变文中有佛经故事变文，包括押座文、缘起计24篇；说唱历史故事、民间传说的变文12篇。每篇变文题后都有简要说明，介绍写本原卷所藏处所，有的还有内容简介及考订。1955年的增订本又增收两种变文，增补了一些变文的阙文，增订了《现存目录》。唐、五代的变文对宋、元说话及其以后的宝卷、弹词等曲艺艺术和说唱文学的发展，都有一定影响。
