农安辽塔位为辽圣宗耶律隆绪时期太平三年（公元1023年）所建，至今已有近千年的历史。古塔为八角十三层，实心密檐式结构，分塔基、身、刹三部分，通高44米。塔身由不同形状的青青砖、平瓦、筒瓦、猫头瓦和水文瓦等砌成。它是长城以北少有的辽金时期文物之一，也是我国最北的古塔。在修缮过程中，曾出土释迦牟尼和观音的塑像、瓷香炉等珍贵文物。辽塔成为黄龙府和农安的象征。被列为吉林省重点文物保护单位。
