松江一兵家妇，失其姓氏。寡居，无子女，住普照寺南。性质直，见妇女有过，必面斥其非，以故妇女辈多敬惮之。妇日有常课，晓起，诵金刚经数卷毕，始经理纺绩资生等事，夜则阖扉念佛，至老不倦。一日，有高行老僧过其门。妇合掌问曰，我闻金刚不坏身，诵此经者，肉身亦可不坏，信乎。僧曰，然。妇随坐脱。时当盛暑，贫无以敛，三日尸不腐，异香满室中。提督杨公捷夫人，亲临其丧，即其地建坐化庵。漆其身，至今尚存。后有镇江某氏妇，随宦松城，青年夫死，自誓守贞，焚修此庵，以念佛为日课，五十年足不逾阈。年荒，煮草为食，妇女辈或周之，非其人一毫不受。先后致徒数人，不堪其苦。辄散去。年五十，语其所契某斋婆曰，我既归向佛门，不可不闻戒律，遂偕往大雄山，礼溪谷和尚，禀受戒法。既归，行持益励。年近九旬，念佛吉祥而逝。事在乾隆中。（染香集）评曰，盛暑不腐，必其净业已久，戒行坚固所致。然而往生净土之人，或不尽是，切勿取相以求也。
