| 大卫（？～前962） David 古以色列国第二代国王。在公元前1000年左右建立统一的以色列王国，定都耶路撒冷。多年来犹太人恢复故国故都的期望都以大卫为中心。基督教圣经《新约全书》强调耶稣是大卫的后裔。在伊斯兰教圣训中，大卫（达乌德）也占有重要地位。大卫生于伯利恒，是耶西最小的儿子。最早在国王扫罗宫中任职，同王储约拿单结为契友，娶扫罗之女米拉为妻。大卫对非利士人作战英勇，为百姓所爱戴，因而招致扫罗嫉妒，企图杀害大卫，大卫逃往南部边疆地区，组织起义部队。他以种种政治姿态赢得国内长老的支持。扫罗和约拿单父子在对非利士人的作战中身亡，大卫乘机到希伯仑，登位称王。扫罗另一子伊施波设与大卫争夺王位，经过几年内战，伊施波设为部下所害，大卫正式成为统一的全以色列国王。大卫进而击败控制耶路撒冷城的耶布斯人，占领该城，以之为首都，并将以色列的最高宗教象征约柜迁来。大卫率军重创非利士人，使他们不再构成威胁。以色列兼并地中海沿岸地带。大卫次第征服邻近各小国，建成帝国，在位40年。大卫在占领耶路撒冷时，同时控制了以城内锡安山为中心的宗教设施。大卫鼓励锡安崇拜，因此后世以耶路撒冷为圣城，以大卫为期望中的救世主的理想形象。大卫以王权为神在地上统治的工具，对人类宗教史特别是西方宗教史产生重大影响。 |
