释法度。黄龙人也。南齐初游于金陵。高士齐郡名僧绍。隐居琅邪之摄山。挹度清真待以师友。及亡舍所居山为栖霞寺。先是有道士欲以寺地为观。住者辄死。后为寺犹多恐动。自度居之群妖皆息。经岁余忽闻人马鼓角之声。俄见一人投刺于度曰靳尚。度命前之。尚形甚都雅羽卫亦众。致敬毕乃言。弟子王有此山七百余年矣。神道有法物不得。于前后栖托或非真直。故死病继之。亦其命也。法师道德所归。谨舍以奉给。并愿受五戒永结来缘。度曰。人神道殊无容相屈。且檀越血食世祀。此最五戒所禁。尚曰。若备门徒辄先去杀。于是辞去。明日一人送钱一万并香烛等。疏云。弟子靳尚奉供。至其月十五日度为设会。尚又来同众礼拜行道受戒而去。既而摄山庙巫梦神告曰。吾已受戒于度法师矣。今后祠祭勿得杀戮。由是庙中荐献菜饭而已。度尝动散寝于地。见尚从外来以手摩头足而去。顷之复来持一琉璃。瓯中如水以奉度。味甘而冷。度所苦即间。其征感如此。
