性质:又称链状硫(chain sulfur)、γ硫(γ-sulfur)或δ硫(δ-sulfur)。硫的一种同素异形体。属无定形硫。具有弹性。不稳定,放置空气中(室温)逐渐变成钭方硫。不溶于水和二硫化碳。熔融硫(刚熔融时)迅速倾入冷水中而成。也可由浓硝酸与固体硫代硫酸钠作用而得。由于S8环断裂变成一种螺旋形的链,链上每一圈螺旋大约有3.5个硫原子。如在刚熔融时加入碘、砷等物质,则弹性硫可长期保存。
