In order to illuminate the ecological mechanisms of avoidance and resistance to heat injury of rice,a field experiment was conducted to study the effects of fertilization level on panicle temperature at the heading stage in two rice varieties with significant differences in canopy and population development from 2004 to 2005 in Yangzhou City,Jiangsu Province,China.

【植物形态】
多穗柯 常绿乔木，高7～15米。树皮灰褐色；小枝无毛。单叶互生；卵状披针形至近椭圆形，长12～20厘米，宽5～8厘米，先端渐尖攻尾尖，基部楔形，全缘，下面有灰白色鳞粃，无毛；叶柄长1.5～2厘米。雌花序常顶生，长15～20厘米。果序长22～25厘米，果密集；壳斗3～5枚联合，具短柄或几无柄，浅盘形，包围坚果基部，直径7～13毫米，高2～4毫米；苞片三角形，和壳斗贴生，排列成环。坚果栗色，卵形，直径1～1.5厘米，长1.2～1.6厘米，基部圆形，仅中央和壳斗愈合；果脐深陷。 生于温暖的山地，在土壤湿润肥沃的山谷中生长最好。分布长江以南各地。
