| 采铀 uranium mining 把地下自然富集成的铀矿开采出来，并进行化学加工、还原精炼、生产成品的全过程。铀是核工业开发利用核能最重要的原料。天然铀主要以含氧矿物形式存在于砂岩、砾岩、花岗岩、火山岩、变质岩中。采铀主要包括以下几个过程：①采矿和选矿。根据地质条件常用露天采矿和井下采矿法，把具有经济价值的矿石，从地下开采出来。由于通常矿石的品位低，常含其他有用矿物。所以常用普通选矿法和放射性分选法，选出商品铀矿石，品位一般在0.15％以上。②提取纯化。将矿石破碎或磨细后，用硫酸或纯碱溶液，将矿石中的铀选择性浸取出来，再用离子交换和溶剂萃取法，把铀从水溶液中提取出来，制成含铀70％以上的ADU（重铀酸铵）和U3O8商品，便于运输和销售。为满足用户要求，还要对ADU和U3O8进行深度化学加工。通常把吸收中子截面很高的杂质，如硼、镉、钐、钆等清除到百万分之一以下（＜1ppm）；把容易生成挥发性氟化物、影响同位素分离的杂质，如钨、钼、铬、钒、钛等，清除到1～2ppm以下；并制成可用来生产重水反应堆元件的UO2。③转化冶金或转化浓缩。UO2经转化成UF4后，可用来生产金属铀元件供军用堆生产钚；UO2经转化成UF6，用来生产低浓铀制造压水反应堆陶瓷元件，或生产高浓铀供军用。
