In this paper, the mechanism of secondary hematite formation in sintering process was investigated by TG-DSC method for decreasing and controlling the formation of secondary hematite, an index to estimate how about formation of the secondary hematite, H_(SC)=W_f/W_b, was suggested, it was found that effect of hematite decompasition is bigger, especially solid mi.

In this paper,the sinter pot experiments were carried out by adding different contents of hematite concentrate,the result shows that hematite concentrate content of mixed material has seriously influence on the finished sinter mineralogy, meantime it is found that sinter has better metallurgical property when the content of hematite concentrate is during 15%～16.
