When some special kinds of solids are excited by pump radiation,if the fluorescence wavelength is shorter than the wavelength of pump radiation,the process which is called Anti-Stokes process will take some heat away from the cooling element.
这一过程也就是"反斯托克斯过程",它对固体具有冷却的效果,这一原理也就是"光学制冷器"的理论依据。

在对自行设计的光纤进行实验研究的过程中,通过逐渐增加泵浦脉冲的中心波长λ_0发现随着λ_0逐渐接近零色散波长λ_D,在一系列非线性效应的作用下泵谱脉冲的频谱逐渐展宽,同时其转化效率也逐渐增加,在短波段的反斯托克斯波的强度也逐渐增加。
