指甘露醇、山梨醇、尿素等药。这些药物注入人体后能迅速提高血液渗透压，使组织间液向血循环转移，组织脱水，血容量增加，水分经肾排出。这些药物注入人体后，可迅速从肾小球滤过，而不被肾尿管吸收，故可增加肾小管液渗透压，妨碍肾小管对水分的重吸收，达到利尿。禁用于心功能不全、活动性颅内出血者。
