答案是不必担心。因为电脑模拟实验显示，只有超大型的风力发电厂（目前还不存在）才会影响天气，但也仅限于风力发电机的叶片附近区域。
根据《地球物理研究》杂志一篇文章的研究结果，在一个拥有1万台风力发电机的风力发电厂内，其地表温度会上升0.7摄氏度。发电机叶片的转动会使空气中的潮气上升，而靠近地面的区域会变得温暖干燥。这对风力发电厂附近的农作物会造成不良影响，但对全球来说，这点影响可以忽略不计。
