The views of Yu Guangzhong,a famous poet,prose writer,critic and translator in Taiwan,on translation are analyzed,and discussions are carried out from three perspectives,namely,language of translated text,nature of literary translation,and qualities of translator.

The present paper is to discuss aesthetic possibility and necessity of Chinese translated text and emphasize the aesthetic functions for guiding translation practice in order that translated text, under conditions of translation faithful to the original, can yield the overall results of beauty in sound, sense and form to the full.
