性质:本品为不燃不爆的液体。熔点-58℃,沸点139.6℃,52.3℃(3.99kPa),35.7℃(1.33kPa),相对密度1.9324(20/4℃),折射率1.5192,闪点54℃。能与乙醇、乙醚、丙酮和氯仿混溶。水中溶解度25℃时0.2%,80℃时0.3%,受高温时能分解放出毒气。

制备方法:1.丙烯直接溴化可得1,2-二溴丙烷。2.由溴丙烷经溴化而得先将溴丙烷与铁粉混合,加热至40-50℃,慢慢加入溴素,加完后继续回流2h。然后,滤除铁渣,滤液用水洗几次,5%碳酸钠溶液洗一次,再用5%硫代硫酸钠溶液洗除游离溴。以无水氯化钙干燥。分馏,收集139-142℃馏分即为成品。3.丙醇溴化法。

用途:用作有机合成原料、化学试剂及溶剂。
