性质:又称cis-肉桂酸或别桂皮酸。为肉桂酸的几何异构体。性质:本品有四种化学性质相同而物理性质稍有不同的异形体。(1)熔点32℃的酸;为最不稳定的物质。得自制取时的熔融物,只存在数分钟。(2)熔点42℃的酸[埃伦迈尔(E.Erlenmeyer)命名为异肉桂酸]:不稳定,由多种形态的熔融物或溶液中分离出来。(3)熔点58℃的酸[利白曼(C.T.LieBermann)命名的异肉桂酸]。比较稳定,往熔融物中加入晶种,即成结晶而出,能溶于石油醚、乙醇、氯仿。(4)熔点68℃的酸(常规命名法所指的别桂皮酸),最稳定,可经真空蒸馏而出,难溶于石油醚,燃烧热1048kcal,K 13.8×10-5;本品的苯溶液中加入少量的碘,以光照射后,即变成肉桂酸;比肉桂酸易氢化,用高锰酸钾氧化即生成苯基甘油酸。制法有:(1)苯基丙酸催化还原;(2) α-或β-肉桂酸在醇中以锌还原;(3)肉桂酸用紫外线照射。三种方法可制出的都是熔点为42℃、52℃、68℃的混合物。用作有机合成原料。熔点68℃酸的衍生物酰基苯胺C6H5CH=CHCONHC6H5熔点为83℃。
