性质:又称山茱萸苷。无色苦味针状结晶或菱形片晶(由乙醇中)。熔点182~183℃。旋光度-173°(c=3.98,水)。易溶于水,微溶于乙醇、醋酸乙酯和丙酮,几乎不溶于氯仿和乙醚。天然存在于马鞭草科植物马鞭草(Verbena officinalis L.)全草,山茱萸科植物山茱萸(Cornus officinalis Sieb.et Zucc)的果实等中。对哺乳动物可促进胆汁分泌,还可促进家兔血液凝固。并具有止咳、祛痰、抗菌、导泻、兴奋子宫等作用。其毒性很低,不溶血。
