性质：又称K-T炉。煤常压流化床气化工业炉之一。气化炉双头，如两个中间焊在一起的球锥体，内衬耐火砖，侧面设有双炉头(两面对称)。属流化床气化炉。将原料煤磨成粉煤，粉煤粒度75％～80％通过200目。用螺旋加料器将煤粉送至混合器，与氧气和蒸汽混合，通过炉头中的烧嘴喷入气化炉。煤和气化剂在炉内起火焰反应，产生高达2000℃的高温区，火焰末端，即炉中部的温度为1500℃左右，灰分大部分以熔渣形式沿气化炉壁下流，进入水急冷槽，由出灰机移走。生成的煤气由炉顶引出，气温约1400～1500℃，经废热锅炉回收热量，产生高压蒸汽，再经一系列冷却除尘设备，将煤气温度降至常温。以褐煤为原料制得的煤气组成大致为：CO2 11.9％，CO 55.7％，H2 29.0％，CH40.1％，N2+Ar2％。
