性质:在生物体内形成无机矿物的过程。与一般矿化不同之处是此过程中有生物体代谢、细胞、有机基质的参与。生物矿化有两种形式。一种是生物体代谢产物直接与细胞内、外阳离子形成矿物质,如某些藻类的细胞间文石。另一种是代谢产物在细胞干预下,在胞外基质的指导下形成生物矿物,如牙齿、骨骼中羟基磷灰石的形成。
