We examined predation on livestock by wolf (Canis lupus) in Dalai Lake Nature Reserve, Neimenggu, China, through field survey and studying claims made by residents from Jul 2004 to Jan 2007.

【采 制】
： 秋冬挖根，洗净泥土，放入淘米水中浸泡3日取出，再放入石灰水中浸泡3日，取出，置锅内煮2小时，取出，切片晒干。
【性 味】
： 根长圆柱状，圆锥状至纺锤状，直径1～8cm，外皮黄褐色，具纵皱纹。粉质，断面黄白色，具凸凹相间的同心环纹。性温，味辛、苦；有大毒。
【植物形态】
： 多年生草本，有白色乳汁。根块状或圆锥状，外皮褐色，内面黄白色。茎直立，紫棕色。单叶互生，近无柄；叶片窄椭圆形或长方披针形，长1．5～6cm，宽8～15mm。花序顶生及腋生，1～3回三出分枝，分枝处通常有3片叶状卵圆形苞片，最终分枝顶端有小苞片2片，顶端着生一杯状聚伞花序。花浅黄色，腺体棕红色，扁宽椭圆形，蒴果卵圆形，有软刺。成熟时3室开裂。

生于高山岩石缝中或山坡草地。主产云南。

含大戟树脂、生物碱及皂甙等。
【功能主治】
泻下逐水，外用止血、止痒。用于水肿、肝硬化腹水；外用治创伤出血、淋巴结结核、跌打瘀血肿痛、皮肤瘙痒、癣疥。
