The purification process of dehydroabietylamine was improved, whereby the industrial rosin amine D was reacted with p -toluenesulfonic acid in ethanol to get a mixture of dehydro-abietylamine p -toluenesulfonate, didehydroabietylamine p -toluenesulfonate, and tetradehydro-abietylamine p -toluenesulfonate.
