This paper studies the outer gap model of pulsars,analyzes the differences between traditional outer gap model and the new one,and points out that the electric field created from the pulsar surface is very strong but the electric field along the magnetic field is almost zero,and charged particles are accelerated to relativistic energy in outer gap resulting in high energy radiation.
