| 变形虫属 Amoeba 原生动物门肉鞭动物亚门肉足总纲根足纲变形目变形虫科的一属。音译阿米巴。虫体赤裸、柔软，因可向各个方向伸出伪足 ，以致体形不定而得名 。伪足除具行动的功能外，还能摄食。在池塘、小沟、水田中终年可见。变形虫能侵入人和动物体内，引起疾病。最常见的是痢疾内变形虫，这是人阿米巴痢疾的病原体。中国已发现由自由生活的变形虫引起人死亡的病例。 |
