The analysis show that the protections and security equipments may work abnormally and the power system requirements may change during different steps of restoration.

Through analyzing and comparing many published papers associated with Petri net applications,a concise and systematic survey is made from several specific areas involved,including fault diagnosis,power system restoration,distribution network reconfiguration,unit commitment,power network topology analysis,reliability analysis,protective relay modeling and hybrid power systems.

Combining general technological methods the paper mainly probes into several techniques of system restoration in applicable to LAN.

This paper investigates several specific system restoration cases of foreign power systems and the experience gained from them, which will help other utilities to develop restoration schedules.

The main contributions of this paper are(1) presenting the method to represent service core based on component families and installation orders,which can precisely capture the system services perceived by users;(2) proposing the reasoning rules of system recovery based on component compatibility .

Through practicing and analyzing traditional system recovery methods, we find that GHOST software can solve problems quickly and conveniently.
