To observe the effect of Buyang Huanwu Decoction(BYHWD) on axon regeneration and functional recovery of the animal after spinal cord injury(SCI),SD rats were given BYHWD or distilled water via gastrogavage after right rubrospinal tract(RST) transection at the level between C3 and C4.
为探讨补阳还五汤对脊髓损伤后轴突再生及功能修复的影响,将SD大鼠C3-C4右侧红核脊髓束(RST)横断后,分别以补阳还五汤和蒸馏水连续灌胃8周,用BDA顺行束路示踪方法检测轴突再生情况,采用自发性直立探究行为学测试方法评判前肢运动功能的恢复。

瘫痪多不对称，呈下神经元性(弛缓性）瘫痪。腱反射常消失，肌张力多减退、感觉多不受影响。瘫痪最常见于下肢，其次为上肢。近端大肌群常较远端小肌群瘫痪出现早且重。影响呼吸肌(膈肌及肋间肌）时则影响呼吸运动，表现为呼吸浅速、鼻翼扇动、声音低微、讲话断续、咳嗽无力、胸廓扩张受限(肋间肌瘫痪），吸气时上腹不外凸反内凹(膈肌瘫痪）等。重则发生严重缺氧现象。
