| 星鲨属 Mustelus；smoothhound 真鲨目皱唇鲨科的一属。有20种，中国有3种。体长约1米。眼中等大小，椭圆形。喷水孔小，位于眼后。鼻孔宽大，距口远。口弧形。牙细小而多，平扁亚圆形，齿头退化或消失，铺石状排列。鳃孔中大。背鳍2个，无硬棘；第一背鳍较大，第二背鳍较臀鳍为大。分布广。白斑星鲨体具白色斑点，主要分布于黄海和东海。灰星鲨体无白点。中国沿岸均有分布。前鳍星鲨分布于南海和东海南部。栖息在大陆棚浅海区域，也进入港口。主要食虾、蟹类，也食软体动物以及沙蚕等，有时食小型鱼类。卵胎生；灰星鲨为胎生，每产10余仔，胎儿具卵黄胎盘，连于母体子宫壁上，脐带很长，子宫分成多室，胎儿各居一室。星鲨肉质鲜嫩，主要供食用。
