利用沉淀反应降低干扰离子浓度,以消除干扰离子的方法,称为沉淀掩蔽法.

例如,在ca2+,mg2+共存的溶液中,加入naoh使溶液的ph>12,mg2+形成mg(oh)2沉淀,不干扰ca2+的滴定.

应该指出,沉淀掩蔽法,不是理想的掩蔽方法,因为它尚存在着如下缺点.

(1)一些沉淀反应进行得不完全,掩蔽效率不高.

(2)由于生成沉淀时,常有"共沉淀现象",因而影响滴定的准确度,有时由于对指示剂有吸附作用,而影响终点的观察.

(3)沉淀有颜色或体积很大,都会妨碍终点的观察.因此,沉淀掩蔽法的应用不很广泛.
