一种大型柜式的调节仪表。它按照控制系统中的各种功能划分组件（组件的结构标准化），各组件可在机架上插装，方便地组合成整套控制系统。（见彩图）
组装式仪表的功能组件有模拟量组件和数字量组件两类。模拟量组件有：信号转换、 计算、 给定、调节、显示操作、电源和附件等组件。数字量组件有：电平转换、采样、译码、寄存、逻辑选择、数字显示操作和附件等组件。组装式仪表的特点是：①组件数量可按需要插装，几个控制系统可合在一个机柜内，易于改换控制系统的构成。②调节功能齐全，与计算机联用方便，适用于多参数综合自动控制系统。③具有自动切换、程序控制和逻辑控制等功能，能适应大型设备自动启停等要求。④除自动控制外还有自动保护功能，可对工艺事故、仪表事故、电源故障和误操作等作出判断并进行联锁保护。⑤按用户要求设计组装，按系统成套提供。组装式仪表机柜上方是电源组件，中间是各功能组件，下面联接电缆。显示操作组件各有单独的外壳，可安装在用户的控制台上。
