海上风险（PerilsoftheSea）又称海难，是指船舶或货物在海上运输过程中所遇到的自然灾害和意外事故。主要有：（1）自然灾害（NaturalCalamities），是指由于自然界的变异引起破坏力量所造成的现象，如恶劣气候、雷电、地震、海啸、火山爆发、洪水等。（2）意外事故（FortuitousAccidents），是指船舶搁浅、触礁、沉没、互撞或与其他固体物如流冰、码头碰撞，以及失踪、失火、爆炸等意外原因造成的事故或其他类似事故。
