After analyzing the mechanism of sudden deposition,measuring the topographty development in the test water channel during the period of typhoon actions and estimating the value of possible deposition in Yue-qing Bay under the actions of strong winds and waves,a conclusion is made that the sudden deposition will not happen in the port basin of Yue-qing Bay.
