性质:单烯烃与多环烯烃共聚而成的高透明热塑性树脂。单烯烃可以是乙烯、丙烯或其他α-烯烃;多环烯烃可以是降冰片烯、四环十二烯、甲基四环十二烯、五环十五碳烯等环烯烃。产品呈非晶性。密度1.01~1.05g/cm3。具有高透明性、低双折射率、低吸水性、高耐热、高强度、耐化学药品及易加工等优点。透光率90%。双折射率20~25nm,与聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯相同,比聚碳酸酯(>30nm)小。吸水性<0.01%,比聚碳酸酯和聚甲基丙烯酸酯(0.3%)均小一个数量级,热变形温度129~140℃,与聚碳酸酯相当,比聚甲基丙烯酸酯高,拉伸强度59~64MPa,弯曲弹性模量(2.4~3.2)×103MPa,悬臂梁缺口冲击强度30J/m,洛氏硬度M75。在齐格勒-纳塔或茂金属催化剂存在下,由乙烯或丙烯与环烯烃聚合制得。用于激光光盘、光导纤维、透镜、液晶显示板。
