It occurs in the silicified tectonic breccia belt between the Neoproterozoic Diaoyutai quartzose sandstone and the Paleoproterozoic Zhenzhumen silicated dolomitic marble.
金英金矿床产于叠加在先期存在的新元古界钓鱼台组石英砂岩与古元古界珍珠门组硅化白云质大理岩之间的不整合面附近的硅化构造角砾岩带中的F100断裂内,主要受区域性断裂F102及局部性断裂F100的联合控制。

| 砾岩 conglomerate 沉积碎屑岩的一种。由粒径大于2毫米的圆状、次圆状砾石经胶结而成。按大小分为巨砾岩、粗砾岩、中砾岩和细砾岩。按砾石成分分为单成分砾岩和复成分砾岩。前者砾石成分单一，多为稳定的岩屑和矿物，其中某种成分的砾石占75％以上，如石英岩质砾岩，燧石砾岩及石英砾岩等；后者砾石成分复杂，各种成分的砾石含量都不超过50％，通常分选较差、圆度不高，砾石抗风化能力也较弱，多为洪积产物。根据形成原因可分为河成砾岩、滨海砾岩、滨湖砾岩及海岸三角洲砾岩。根据其在地层剖面中的位置又可分为底砾岩和层间砾岩。砾岩往往代表沉积间断，因此是判断构造运动和区域不整合存在的重要标志。还可用它判断古海、湖岸的位置及古河流的流向。砾石是天然的铺路材料和水泥拌料，某些砾岩常与铀、金、金刚石、铜等共生，是找矿的一种标志。
