| 重力测量 gravimetric survey 测定地球表面的重力加速度值。重力方向须用天文测量方法确定。测定重力值可以利用与重力有关的物理现象，例如在重力作用下的自由落体运动、摆的摆动、弹簧伸缩、弦振动等。由此重力测量方法分为两类：动力法，它是根据物体受力后运动状态的改变测定重力；静力法，它是根据物体受力后的平衡状态测定重力。 绝对重力测量是测定重力场中一点的绝对重力值，一般采用动力法。主要利用两种方法：①观测自由落体的运动。这是G.伽利略在1590年进行世界上第一次重力测量时所用的方法。②观测摆的运动。这是荷兰物理学家C.惠更斯在1673年提出的。这两种方法一直沿用至今。
相对重力测量是测定两点的重力差值，可采用动力法和静力法。最早的相对重力测量在1887年，采用动力法的摆仪。因摆仪的测定精度只能达到毫伽级而且观测效率不高，目前已很少采用。现在普遍采用静力法的弹簧重力仪，使用方便，一般测定精度可达几十微伽。 地球表面约有71％的海洋。通常有两种办法进行海洋重力测量：①将重力仪沉入海底进行遥测。②将摆仪或重力仪安置在潜水艇或海面船上进行观测。在沙漠、冰川、沼泽、崇山峻岭和原始森林等交通不便地区，需采用航空重力测量方法。 |
