Based mainly on an important document issued by the government of the Qing Dynasty in 1910,this paper makes a preliminary discussion on"the Far East Society of Biology"and"the Beau Curd Company"founded by Chinese students studying in French towards the end of the Qing Dynasty.
初步探讨留法学生于清末创设的“远东生物学研究会”及“豆腐公司”的创设经过、具体作用，并从科学史的角度进行评价。

远东研究所是原苏联科学院所属的以远东各国特别是以中国为对象的学术研究机构。该研究所经原苏联科学院主席团决定，于1968年建立，最初仅有4个学术组。至1976年，已经发展到6个室21个学术组，其中涉及中国的有：中国与社会主义国家关系室、中国与资本主义国家关系室、中国经济室、现代中国室、中国边界室。苏联解体前，远东研究所有科研人员202人，其中博士17人，副博士104人。对中国的政治、经济、国防、历史、意识形态等方面进行了广泛研究，并出版了一批书籍、资料、年鉴和刊物。
