This paper implements Polthier s decomposition algorithm for planer discrete vector fields, and proposes a "decomposing a vector field first, then detecting its features", novel vector field decomposition based approach to extraction and visualization of vortices, particularly weak vortices, in planar flows.
实现了用于平面离散向量场分解的Polthier算法,提出了“先分解向量场,后检出特征”的、基于向量场分解的提取与可视化平面流场中的涡旋、特别是弱小涡旋的新途径。

Currently, planar vector field decomposition technique is applied in ocean flow field visualization, and the result of weak vortices detection has produced an obvious effects.
目前有文献将平面向量场分解技术应用到海洋流场特征可视化中,对尺寸大而流速小的弱涡旋的检测有一定的成效,但是向量场分解应用到流场中会在流场边界产生较大的误差,使得基于分解的涡旋提取的方法原则上不适用于边界区域,本文在此基础上对边界进行了网格增量构造,使得边界附近的区域成为属于分解算法涉及范围的内点,弥补了边界上涡旋检测不到的缺陷。

为了在这种情况下也能成功地检出源和汇,或者在一般情况下能更清晰地可视化源和汇,本文首先对海洋流场进行向量场分解得到散度场(无旋场),由于散度场中仅有源、汇为流场的主要特征,剔除了其他次要特征,故重点研究散度场,即在分解后的场中对流场特征进行可视化,使对其散度特征的提取具有更高的敏感度,然后通过对散度场特征(源、汇)的可视化来验证向量场分解算法理论对于海洋流场特征检测的适用性。
